Yerba Mate pouring from french press yerba montana
The Best Yerba Mate for your French Press or Coffee Machine
Air-dried – Organically Grown – Smoke Free
After years of searching, we’ve partnered with an organic-certified 3rd generation family farm to produce our Especial blend of yerba mate. They draw on centuries of tradition but most importantly use an innovative smoke-free indirect heating method. This results is a yerba mate that is air-dried to perfection and free of contaminants.
Aged for Superior Taste and Aroma
After harvest, we age our yerba mate for a minimum of one year in a climate-controlled warehouse. This process helps to break down chlorophyll and results in a smoother, more zesty taste with a woody finish. Other yerba mate producers routinely skip this step. Instead, many use a forced aging process resulting in an inferior and vegetal tasting yerba. This may be why your Taragui or Guayaki tastes more grassy than you might like.
High leaf content for powerful yerba mate experience
Our Especial yerba mate contains a high leaf content with minimal stems and powder. Most of the caffeine, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals present in yerba mate are naturally concentrated in the leaves. Enjoy the clear-headed and smooth energy of yerba mate without the crash or muscle tension you can get from coffee and energy drink. Yerba mate contains more caffeine and antioxidants than tea, less acidity than coffee and naturally occurring vitamins and minerals. Our yerba mate is sure to elevate your daily tea or coffee routine.
Yerba Montana offers a powerful and authentic experience that pays homage to the ancient ritual of the Guarani people. This tribe believed it to be a “drink of the gods” due to its ability to provide sustained energy from its caffeine and nutritional content. Enjoy a robust and smooth cup of yerba mate brewed perfectly in your French press, coffee machine, tea ball or using any other method you brew tea or coffee at home.
